GLOBAL WARMING IN THE BIBLE

Scientists and other highly educated people generally discount the Bible, treating it as if it were a book of fables. Soon, however, they will realize to their great horror that God means exactly what He tells us in the Bible.
The seven last plagues occur during the last year of earth’s history. Global warming occurs during the fourth plague as described in Revelation 16:8,9 in the King James Version of the Bible: “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”
The sun at this time greatly increases its output, and there is nothing the scientists or bureaucrats can do about it. It will happen just as surely as the sun will rise tomorrow morning, and just as surely nobody will be able to do anything about it but suffer the consequences.
NASA’S CHIEF SCIENTIST IS CONFUSEDABOUT THE OZONE HOLE

Many claim that global warming is occurring because of greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide. What is the most effective greenhouse gas? What gas is most effective in trapping heat near the earth’s surface? It is water vapor. Water vapor is many times more effective in trapping heat near the earth’s surface than any other gas.
GLOBAL COOLING?
According to measurements taken at Tuvalu, Nauru, and the Solomon Islands, sea levels have fallen by about 2.5 inches over the last ten years. These island were supposed to be swamped by now because of the melting polar ice caps. Obviously it isn’t happening.

HOW OLD IS THE EARTH?...THE BIBLE MAKES IT CLEAR.

THE YOUNG EARTH
Science has developed a method of dating which in many cases can determine how long ago a plant or animal

lived. This method is known as carbon-14 dating and is based on the radioactive decay of this isotope.
Carbon is vital to all life on earth. All living systems on earth utilize large amounts of the element carbon in their life processes. Carbon is the element which primarily makes up coal, charcoal, pencil leads, lamp-black, and many other familiar substances. When food is burned in a pot, the hard, black material remaining is primarily the carbon which the food contained.
There are three isotopes or forms of carbon which occur naturally on earth. These are carbon-12, carbon-13, and carbon-14. Carbon-12 and carbon-13 are stable, non-radioactive isotopes, and they do not decay. Carbon-14, however, is radioactive, and over a period of time each carbon-14 atom emits a beta particle (electron) and becomes a stable isotope of nitrogen.
If an amount of carbon-14 were placed in a jar and put on a shelf, 5,730 years later only half of it would remain. This number, 5,730, is termed the half-life in years of carbon-14. If sometime in the past, a jar containing one pound of carbon-14 had been placed on a shelf and had not been bothered since then, knowing that the jar originally contained one pound, we could measure the amount remaining in the jar and determine fairly accurately how long it had been there.
Carbon-14 is produced in the earth’s atmosphere by atomic radiation from the sun. All life forms ingest carbon-14 into their living systems by eating and breathing. Carbon-14, therefore, permeates all living tissue with the same percentage of total carbon that is found in the atmosphere.
Approximately 99% of the carbon in the world today is carbon-12. About one percent is carbon-13, and only traces of carbon-14 exist. Because carbon-14 is radioactive and gives off atomic radiation, the tiny amounts in organic material are sufficient to measure the carbon-14 remaining after a fossilized plant or animal has been dead for many years, thereby allowing a determination of the approximate date of death.
Based on carbon-14 dating, scientists have theorized that the world is billions of years old. When the amount of carbon-14 remaining in dinosaur bones is measured, an extremely tiny amount is found, indicating apparently that these prehistoric animals lived millions of years ago.
These findings, however, do not agree with the Bible, for the Bible indicates that the world is only about 6,000 years old. The technique of using carbon-14 for dating is sound only if the original amount of carbon-14 is known. Thus, in using carbon-14 to date ancient life, scientists assume that the amount of carbon-14 on earth has always been what it is today. The Bible indicates, however, that this assumption is not correct and explains why it is not correct.
Genesis 1:6-8 describes the second day of creation week: “And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”
Notice that the firmament divided the waters. Some of the water was above the firmament, and some of the water was below the firmament.
The firmament is the atmosphere surrounding the planet earth. Genesis 1:20 shows this by stating that God made the birds to fly in the firmament: “And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.” This verse in the New International Version says, “And God said, ‘Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.’” Thus, we see that the firmament is the expanse of the sky, which separates the water from the water. Genesis 1:6-8 says that part of the water was above this firmament and part of the water was below the firmament.
Notice that these verses tell us that the water is above the firmament, and not in the firmament. What water is in the firmament is really particles of water from the earth, from under the firmament, temporarily suspended during the water cycle of evaporation and rain. These particles occur only in the lower part of the firmament, the upper parts being free of water vapor.
Much of the water which flooded the earth during the time of Noah came from that which was above the firmament. The water above the firmament was in orbit around the earth and provided a very effective radioactive shield which enveloped the earth and protected the earth’s atmosphere from the atomic radiation from the sun. Since atomic radiation from the sun was not reaching the earth, carbon-14 was virtually nonexistent in the atmosphere.
Carbon-14 dating, therefore, is an accurate method only for dating material which lived after the flood. This method cannot be used accurately to date organic material before the flood because we do not know how much carbon-14 ancient life contained.
This situation is analogous to the example of our jar containing one pound of carbon-14. If the jar had been put on the shelf containing only a fraction of an ounce of carbon-14 and we were told that it originally contained one pound, our dating method would determine that the jar had been there for millions of years.
As always, the Bible states the situation correctly when it indicates that the earth is about 6,000 years old. No evidence has ever been found which, when correctly interpreted, shows the Bible to be in error.....(Pacific Institute)

Thalif Deen reports that the UN Secretary General has expressed grave concerns about the ultimate effects of trade deregulation and globalisation:

UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan Sunday told a gathering of world economic and political leaders that unrestricted and unregulated globalization can lead to unmitigated disaster worldwide.

The average citizen has no idea that the world economy is tilting outwards on a precipice and that a gigantic collapse of the economy unrivalled in world history is an absolute certainty. Who wants to be told that the world monetary system is a heartbeat away from total collapse? But Bible prophecy is being fulfilled. The timing of a world depression may be determined in Japan.

The Japanese economy is so huge it represents the cornerstone of the world’s economy. When it goes kaput, as it inevitably will, and soon, every economy on the planet will collapse with it.

According to a BBC news bulletin dated February 2 2002,

The Japanese economy is stagnating and there is no evidence things are going to get any better The chairman of the Sony Corporation, Norio Ohga, has warned that the Japanese economy is close to collapse and could trigger a world recession. Mr Ohga told a news conference the economy is facing its most difficult time ever and could enter a long spiral of deflation. "The Japanese economy is on the verge of collapsing and could trigger a world recession. The Japanese Central Bank released a survey showing that Japanese executives were pessimistic about the country's prospects. " [34]

C Fred Bergsten, director of the Institute for International Economics USA stated "The situation is getting worse. … Japan should declare a bank holiday - shut down the banking system - and close about half of the banks, because half of the banking system is insolvent.”

In an ABC news release dated March 8 2002 reporter Mark Simkin stated,

Japan … remains mired in one of its worst recessions. Figures out today, show a third successive quarter of economic decline Japan's GDP contracting by over 1 per cent in the last three months of last year. All this is putting enormous pressure on the country's banking system and stoking fears of a major financial crisis in the world's second largest economy. Japan remains mired in one of its worst recessions. … We are one step away from a crisis. It's a mess. …. On April 1, [2002] the government will stop guaranteeing many bank deposits. There's a risk nervous customers will withdraw all their money, putting enormous pressure on a financial system some believe is already technically insolvent.[35]
Bernard Lietaer points out that that not merely the economy but the monetary system itself is heading for a massive crash. We may be approaching the used-by-date of the U.S. dollar.

'The biggest concern today is the growing constituency for instability.' [says] Paul Volcker, ex-governor of the Federal Reserve, in Changing Fortunes. 'Instability is cumulative, so that the eventual breakdown of freely floating exchanges is ensured', [said] George Soros, the largest currency speculator today, in The Alchemy of Finance. They both agree that there are many more people now who have an interest in profiting from instability; previously, they had an interest in stability. If you have an unstable system, it is just a question of when it will fly off the handle. It will blow apart at the moment when the US dollar experiences a crisis. When the dollar crisis occurs, the world will have no system left. [36] .......(By Victor Christensen)

A Parallel Prophecy

In Daniel 11 we are given a prophecy concerning the king of the north. The king of the north is identified as saying “unheard of things against the God of Gods.” This links the king of the north to the little horn in Daniel 7:25 who prophecy says “will speak against the Most high and oppress his saints.” The little horn in Daniel 7, the beast of Revelation 13 and 17 and the king of the north in Daniel 11 are the same entity. We are told that the king of the north “will show no regard for the god of his fathers, or for the one desired by women. … Instead of them he will honour a god of fortresses.” In ancient times the god of fortresses was a goddess. Feminine deities were universally depicted as wearing a crown in the shape of a fortress tower patterned on the worship of the original goddess Semiramis. The distinctive mark of the final antichrist will be the worship of a feminine deity. The practice of Mary worship fulfils this prophecy.

We are told that when the king of the north comes to power “he will greatly honour those who honour him. He will make them rulers over many and distribute the land for a price.” This a direct reference to the power sharing between the ten kings and the beast in Revelation 17:12.

And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but they receive authority as kings with the beast for one hour.

Prophecy says that the ten kings “give their power and authority to the beast.” In order to give their authority to the beast they must first have that authority. What do we have. We have “the merchants of the earth” on the verge of setting up a one world government structured on the abolition of national boundaries and the division of the world into ten economic zones. This means that Revelation 17 is not a future prophecy, it is a prophecy in the process of fulfilment.

We are not epochs or years away from final world events, we are in the middle of them. Years ago the Seventh-day Adventist Church was given a warning by an appointed messenger.

The work of the people of God is to prepare for the events of the future, which will soon come upon them with blinding force. In the world gigantic monopolies will be formed. … A few men will combine to grasp all the means to be obtained in certain lines of business.[37]

The ‘time of trouble, such as never was,’ is soon to open upon us; and we shall need an experience which we do not now possess and which many are too indolent to obtain. It is often the case that trouble is greater in anticipation than in reality; but this is not true of the crisis before us. The most vivid presentation cannot reach the magnitude of the ordeal.[38]

How is it that the world and even most professed Christians are ignorant of these things? When asked to give a toast before the prestigious New York Press Club in 1953, John Swinton, the former Chief of Staff at the NEW YORK TIMES, made this candid confession,
There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, as an independent press. You know it and I know it. There is not one of you who dares to write your honest opinions, and if you did, you know beforehand that it would never appear in print. I am paid weekly for keeping my honest opinions out of the paper I am connected with. Others of you are paid similar salaries for similar things, and any of you who would be so foolish as to write honest opinions would be out on the streets looking for another job.
If I allowed my honest opinions to appear in one issue of my paper, before twenty-four hours my occupation would be gone. The business of the journalist is to destroy the truth; to lie outright; to pervert; to vilify; to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell the country for his daily bread. You know it and I know it and what folly is this toasting an independent press. We are the tools and vassals of the rich men behind the scenes.
