Choose life in Jesus Christ

Jesus is about to come and all the signs are pointing to this great and awesome event that we who are Christians are waiting for with great joy,some though might want to fun and hide from Him who has a reward to give to everyone as his/her work has been on earth...John 5:29.I know that there are some who think that things will get better but this not so ,it will only get worse,am not trying to scare anyone but the truth needs to be said and known.The only hope that mankind have is in Jesus Christ to save from the woes that is to come and the impending doom of those who continue in sin.But my friends you can be saved,and you might ask how can i be saved?..Acts 16:30,31;I say to all chose this day which path you want to tread,the road to eternal life or the road to eternal damnation,..Deuteronomy.30:19

Isa 65:17-25

17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

BATTLLE FOR THE MIND......

There are wars being fought all around the world right now. In Iran there is unrest,the swine flu virus and murders and crimes on every hand.But there is one war that is going on seemingly unnoticed,one that course many to commit suicide and heinous crimes;the war of the mind.Waring with oneself is the attack that the devil is using these days to infiltrate families and churches.

With attacks on every hand and with different mediums,such as television,the Internet,music etc. we are being bombarded with things that won't and can't give us eternal life,yet we bite whenever the bate is set before us.Our greatest defense to all of these crimes against us is the word of God.If we but spend time in the word of God and grant Him our hearts then every dart that the devil throws at us will be shielded.Yet there are instances when we are allowed to go through trials to strengthen our faith and to make us realise that we are dependant on the Creator for all our needs and safe keeping.

With this thought in mind some of us still believe that we are immune to sin and the effects of the consequences of that sin.God desire is for us to be saved in His eternal kingdom,there is no class ,race,size or colour that is exempted from this plan;all are given the same opportunity to be saved;it is however in our hands to choose which side we want to be on.

Our parents and by extension our fore-parents are some what responsible for some of the ills that befalls us.David when he committed adultery and murder was told by the Lord that the sword shall never leave his household and we see what Absalom did.2Sam 12:10.

I know of a man who's father broke his marital vow and fathered children with other women, one of his sons fathered a child out side of his marriage.The difference however is this son loves the lord and wants to give of his best to the Master but because of his sin,he has placed himself and his family in a position of shame and disgrace.The struggle therefore is how can this man function as a church leader without being a stumbling block.After realising his sin this man gave up his office and did not accept any office for two years.But making his life right with God ,the church not knowing anything ask him to serve;he accepting lead to trials in the mind and then confusion.Bothered by this ordeal he sought clarity from the pastor,but there was still trouble in the mind of this man (war).When the church finds out about this issue --because we live in a society that demands justice and not mercy,there will be more confusion--what is the right thing to do here?step down or accept God's forgiveness and move on?The problem is what kind of standard will be set here...1Tim3:1-7 I believe that this passage of scripture is the bench mark for who claim the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.Yes we will make blunders along the way but as far as possible we should endeavour to keep ourselves from evil.

So this battle with self and the waring in the mind can only be overcome through Jesus Christ.Generational curses can be broken, not because your fore-parents lived recklessly that will be your course;the onus is on you to choose which path you're going down;and God wants to save you more than you can think or imagine Eph 3:20.

Every obstacle every trial and difficult situation is there to make you stronger,so stop looking at the problem and focus on the problem solver Christ Jesus Phip 4:13.

The church should also help in the healing process:E.G.White states... "Many appear to be steadfast in the truth, firm, decided on every point of our faith; yet there is a great lack in them,--the tenderness and love which marked the character of the great Pattern. If a brother errs from the truth, if he falls into temptation, they make no effort to restore him in meekness, considering themselves lest they also be tempted. They seem to regard it as their special work to climb upon the judgment seat and condemn and disfellowship. They do not obey God's word, which says, "Ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness." The spirit of this passage is altogether too rare in our churches. It is the lack of it that shuts out the Spirit of God from the heart, from the home, from the church. Shall we not henceforth practice the Bible plan of restoring erring ones in the spirit of meekness? Shall we not have the spirit of Jesus, and work as he worked?" {RH, December 16, 1884 par. 9}.

There is no excuse for sin nor does God turn a blind eye to the sins of man;He does though forgive and we are to accept His forgiveness.One of the problems is that many of us don't accept the forgiveness that He offers,so we seek other ways of relieving the pain that is being experienced Matt 11:28-30.So healing should come through Jesus and His sacrifice on the cross for the sins of the world,all that man needs to do is accept what the Lord offers.

The mark of the beast iis sooner than we think....

Together the Mother and the disciple spiritually taken in Jesus' testament: his last words and his last breath, in which he begins to send out the Spirit; and they take in the silent crying out of his Blood, poured out completely for us (cf. John 19:25-34). Mary knew where the blood came from: it was formed in her by the work of the Holy Spirit, and she knew that this same creative "power" would raise Jesus up, as he promised.

In this way Mary's faith sustains the faith of the disciples until the meeting with the risen Lord, and will continue to accompany them even after his ascension into heaven, as they await the "baptism of the Holy Spirit" (cf. Acts 1:5). At Pentecost, the Virgin Mary appears again as Bride of the Spirit, having a universal maternity with respect to those who are born from God through faith in Christ. This is why Mary is for all generations the image and model of the Church, who together with the Holy Spirit journeys through time invoking Christ's glorious return: "Come, Lord Jesus" (cf. GLOBAL WARMING IN THE BIBLE

Scientists and other highly educated people generally discount the Bible, treating it as if it were a book of fables. Soon, however, they will realize to their great horror that God means exactly what He tells us in the Bible.
The seven last plagues occur during the last year of earth’s history. Global warming occurs during the fourth plague as described in Revelation 16:8,9 in the King James Version of the Bible: “And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”
The sun at this time greatly increases its output, and there is nothing the scientists or bureaucrats can do about it. It will happen just as surely as the sun will rise tomorrow morning, and just as surely nobody will be able to do anything about it but suffer the consequences.
NASA’S CHIEF SCIENTIST IS CONFUSEDABOUT THE OZONE HOLE
“The thinning of the ozone layer over other parts of the earth is accelerating, and we don’t understand why, and we don’t know how fast. We don’t know what factors control the movement of ozone in the stratosphere. Many claim that global warming is occurring because of greenhouse gasses such as carbon dioxide. What is the most effective greenhouse gas? What gas is most effective in trapping heat near the earth’s surface? It is water vapor. Water vapor is many times more effective in trapping heat near the earth’s surface than any other gas.
GLOBAL COOLING?
According to measurements taken at Tuvalu, Nauru, and the Solomon Islands, sea levels have fallen by about 2.5 inches over the last ten years. These island were supposed to be swamped by now because of the melting polar ice caps. Obviously it isn’t happening.

HOW OLD IS THE EARTH?...THE BIBLE MAKES IT CLEAR.

THE YOUNG EARTH
Science has developed a method of dating which in many cases can determine how long ago a plant or animal

lived. This method is known as carbon-14 dating and is based on the radioactive decay of this isotope.
Carbon is vital to all life on earth. All living systems on earth utilize large amounts of the element carbon in their life processes. Carbon is the element which primarily makes up coal, charcoal, pencil leads, lamp-black, and many other familiar substances. When food is burned in a pot, the hard, black material remaining is primarily the carbon which the food contained.
There are three isotopes or forms of carbon which occur naturally on earth. These are carbon-12, carbon-13, and carbon-14. Carbon-12 and carbon-13 are stable, non-radioactive isotopes, and they do not decay. Carbon-14, however, is radioactive, and over a period of time each carbon-14 atom emits a beta particle (electron) and becomes a stable isotope of nitrogen.
If an amount of carbon-14 were placed in a jar and put on a shelf, 5,730 years later only half of it would remain. This number, 5,730, is termed the half-life in years of carbon-14. If sometime in the past, a jar containing one pound of carbon-14 had been placed on a shelf and had not been bothered since then, knowing that the jar originally contained one pound, we could measure the amount remaining in the jar and determine fairly accurately how long it had been there.
Carbon-14 is produced in the earth’s atmosphere by atomic radiation from the sun. All life forms ingest carbon-14 into their living systems by eating and breathing. Carbon-14, therefore, permeates all living tissue with the same percentage of total carbon that is found in the atmosphere.
Approximately 99% of the carbon in the world today is carbon-12. About one percent is carbon-13, and only traces of carbon-14 exist. Because carbon-14 is radioactive and gives off atomic radiation, the tiny amounts in organic material are sufficient to measure the carbon-14 remaining after a fossilized plant or animal has been dead for many years, thereby allowing a determination of the approximate date of death.
Based on carbon-14 dating, scientists have theorized that the world is billions of years old. When the amount of carbon-14 remaining in dinosaur bones is measured, an extremely tiny amount is found, indicating apparently that these prehistoric animals lived millions of years ago.
These findings, however, do not agree with the Bible, for the Bible indicates that the world is only about 6,000 years old. The technique of using carbon-14 for dating is sound only if the original amount of carbon-14 is known. Thus, in using carbon-14 to date ancient life, scientists assume that the amount of carbon-14 on earth has always been what it is today. The Bible indicates, however, that this assumption is not correct and explains why it is not correct.
Genesis 1:6-8 describes the second day of creation week: “And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.”
Notice that the firmament divided the waters. Some of the water was above the firmament, and some of the water was below the firmament.
The firmament is the atmosphere surrounding the planet earth. Genesis 1:20 shows this by stating that God made the birds to fly in the firmament: “And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.” This verse in the New International Version says, “And God said, ‘Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the expanse of the sky.’” Thus, we see that the firmament is the expanse of the sky, which separates the water from the water. Genesis 1:6-8 says that part of the water was above this firmament and part of the water was below the firmament.
Notice that these verses tell us that the water is above the firmament, and not in the firmament. What water is in the firmament is really particles of water from the earth, from under the firmament, temporarily suspended during the water cycle of evaporation and rain. These particles occur only in the lower part of the firmament, the upper parts being free of water vapor.
Much of the water which flooded the earth during the time of Noah came from that which was above the firmament. The water above the firmament was in orbit around the earth and provided a very effective radioactive shield which enveloped the earth and protected the earth’s atmosphere from the atomic radiation from the sun. Since atomic radiation from the sun was not reaching the earth, carbon-14 was virtually nonexistent in the atmosphere.
Carbon-14 dating, therefore, is an accurate method only for dating material which lived after the flood. This method cannot be used accurately to date organic material before the flood because we do not know how much carbon-14 ancient life contained.
This situation is analogous to the example of our jar containing one pound of carbon-14. If the jar had been put on the shelf containing only a fraction of an ounce of carbon-14 and we were told that it originally contained one pound, our dating method would determine that the jar had been there for millions of years.
As always, the Bible states the situation correctly when it indicates that the earth is about 6,000 years old. No evidence has ever been found which, when correctly interpreted, shows the Bible to be in error.....(Pacific Institute)
